The installation manager (also known as the author’s supervision of the installation) by a company that designs and manufactures electrical equipment, means the control and technical support of the installation of the equipment at the customer’s site. It includes the following:
Correct mounting control:

- verification of the conformity of the installation works with the project documentation;
- advice of the installation team on connection and configuration of equipment.
Commissioning works:

- hardware health check after installation;
- setting parameters (for example, relay protection settings).
Staff training on:

- operation and maintenance briefing;
- technical documentation transfer.
Troubleshooting:

- If there are errors during the installation, the chief engineer helps to correct them.
